“Stubborn Taiwan independence stance”: China furious over Taiwanese leader William Lai Ching-Te Double Tenth speech claiming the island “is not subordinate to the People’s Republic of China”

“On this land, democracy and freedom are growing and thriving. The People’s Republic of China has no right to represent Taiwan,” said Taiwanese leader William Lai Ching-Te on Thursday in his Double Tenth speech marking the 113th anniversary of ROC’s founding.
